Over the past few days, we launched a new interface for the Best Practices module, designed to solve a problem that any FinOps or SecOps team knows all too well: having real visibility over dozens of recommendations scattered across multiple clouds, without drowning in notifications.
Full coverage across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI
The MP consolidates cost, security, performance, and availability recommendations from the four major providers into a single dashboard. It isn’t just a layer that summarizes what each native Advisor already shows—it is a unified view, providing the same reading standard regardless of the source cloud.

A catalog with over 1,160 items
The rules cover six fronts: Cost Reduction, Backup, Security, Compliance, Performance, and Availability. It is a catalog broad enough to cover scenarios that native Advisors simply do not address, which is the differentiator of this module in our platform.
80% of rules do not come from provider Advisors
Only 20% of the catalog consists of recommendations passed down from each provider’s native Advisors. The other 80% are proprietary rules developed by Cloud8 based on real demands from the customer ecosystem. In practice, this means coverage for specific architecture, compliance, and operational scenarios that native tools cannot see.
View by certifications and frameworks
Teams that need to report adherence to LGPD, CIS frameworks get an organized view by certification, without having to manually cross-reference each rule with the corresponding requirement.

Granular filters so it doesn’t become another source of noise
A large catalog is only useful if it doesn’t generate alert fatigue. That’s why Cloud8 prioritizes detailed filters and reports, allowing you to slice by severity, product, account, or category, and configure exactly what should trigger a notification and to whom.
Native integrations with your existing workflow
Email, Slack, Teams, and ServiceNow come pre-integrated, preventing Cloud8 Best Practices from becoming yet another isolated screen. Recommendations arrive right where the team already works.
Built-in AI and programmatic integration
In addition to a native AI assistant within the platform for queries and prioritization, Cloud8 Best Practices exposes programmatic integration: you can create custom reports and connect via MCP, agents, or CI/CD pipelines, integrating cloud governance directly into your own automation stack.

ITSM Automation
Tickets can be opened and closed automatically based on recommendations, reducing the manual triage effort between detecting an issue and entering it into the resolution workflow.
Continuous evolution
The rules catalog is updated weekly, and there is an open channel for feature suggestions, keeping coverage aligned with what the ecosystem actually needs rather than a closed roadmap.
