Creating a new Amazon AWS account

2 min read

To use Cloud8 and extend the functionalities of your cloud on Amazon, you must, of course, have an Amazon account :). If you don’t have one yet, follow the steps below to register.

If you are your first account, Amazon will give you what it calls a “Free Tier”. I see the  resources  I would be entitled to for one year.

  • Access the AWS website in Portuguese:  http://aws.amazon.com/pt/  or  http://aws.amazon.com / and change the language to Portuguese;
  • Click on “Register now”
  • If you don’t have an Amazon account, you will need to create a new account. If you have already purchased something on Amazon, such as a book, a Kindle, etc., you can use this same account.
  • In the case of a new account, enter your email in “My e-mail address is” and click on “I am a new user”
  • Clique em “Sign in using our secure server”
  • You will then be asked for your full name, confirmation of the email and password you want.

Moving forward, clicking “Continue”

Accept the terms of service and click ‘Create Account and Continue’. Now you need to enter your credit card number. This step is  mandatory . If you do not provide the card, Amazon will not activate the service.

Click “Continue”. A telephone verification is then required. It can be a landline or cell phone number. Amazon will call you and ask you to enter a code.

Clique em “Call me Now”.

  • When you receive the call, wait for it to finish and slowly enter the 4 digits. If something goes wrong, you can try again and change the phone. Amazon allows up to 3 attempts. If all 3 fail, you need to wait 12 hours to try again.
  • If everything goes well, you will see the following screen:

 And you will be redirected to the success page:

  • In a few minutes or hours, you should receive a confirmation email with the title: “ AWS Unified Registration Sign-Up Confirmation ” and you are ready to use the Amazon Cloud!

To log into your Amazon account, visit this  link .

With your Amazon account activated, proceed with the  association with Cloud8  to enjoy the benefits of our tool!
